Privacy Policy

We have created this Privacy Policy for visitors to the website https://www.b2b.soundswood.com (hereinafter referred to as the "Website"), which is the online store of Sounds Wood (hereinafter referred to as the "Store").
The administrator of your personal data in connection with the use of the Store is: Aurelien Delaunay, entrepreneur conducting business under the name Sounds Wood Aurelien Delaunay, with its registered office at: Ul. Za Ogrodem 10, 31-990 Kraków, registered in the Central Register and Information on Economic Activity, NIP: 6783040851, REGON: 541234762.
For any matters related to the processing of personal data, you can contact us by e-mail at info@soundswood.com. You can also contact us in writing at the address of the registered office listed above.
For convenience, we have divided this document into two parts:

  1. Cookies and other technologies
II. Other purposes of processing personal data of Store users

If you're short on time, click on the link for the part that interests you most. If you have a bit more time, we encourage you to read the entire text.

  1. COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies and other similar mechanisms to understand how users interact with our Website and for marketing purposes, including displaying ads to them elsewhere on the Internet.

#What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer, phone, or other device you use to browse the website. A cookie contains information about your use of this site.

Some cookies are essential for the operation of our Store and cannot be disabled.
In other cases, when you first visit our Website, we ask for your consent to install cookies. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies (or any cookies other than the essential ones) without your consent.

What cookies do we use?

  1. Essential cookies
  • These cookies ensure the proper functioning of the site. You cannot disable them because if you do, our site simply won’t work correctly.
  • In this regard, we use a tool that stores your privacy settings. It records your consent or lack thereof for different types of cookies to be used on our site.
  • Other essential cookies on our Website are used to ensure it operates properly and to manage it, including making changes to the site and launching tracking tools for which you have given consent.
  1. Statistical analyses of our Website
  • We use tools that collect analytical data, allowing us to understand how users engage with our Website. The data we receive from these tools does not identify specific individuals by name but enables us to record different aspects of each user’s activity on the Website. We can aggregate and analyse this data statistically, and then use it to make decisions about changes to our Store and/or the ways we conduct our advertising and marketing communications.
  • A list of the analytical tools we use on the Website, along with explanations of: (i) who provides the tool, (ii) what exactly it is used for, and (iii) what data is collected by that tool – can be found in Annex 1 to this policy and briefly summarized in the cookie consent management panel.

III. Advertising cookies

  • We use advertising tools that allow us to display our ads on other websites you visit, including on social media (so-called targeted ads), measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, and tailor the content of our communications to you based on information we have about you.
  • Our Store also allows users to sign up for our newsletter. In this context, cookies are used to embed the subscription form on our Website and measure the effectiveness of sign-ups through that form. Modern email marketing systems enable us to combine analytical data from our email campaigns with analytical data from the Store. We may use this data to optimize the content of messages sent to newsletter subscribers.
  • A list of the advertising tools we use on the Website, along with explanations of: (i) who provides the tool, and (ii) what exactly it is used for – can be found in Annex 1 to this policy and briefly summarized in the cookie consent management panel.
  1. Functional cookies
  • Some cookies on our Website are used to enable additional features in the Store, such as a chat tool, a product review and/or star rating module, the ability to recommend a product to a friend, the ability to display recently viewed products in our Store, and similar functionalities.
  • A list of the functional tools we use on the Website, along with explanations of exactly what they are used for, can be found in the cookie consent management panel.
  1. Social Media Plugins and Links
  • On our Website, we have placed links to our social media profiles: Facebook / Instagram. If you visit our profile on any of these platforms, the owner of that platform will receive – just like when users move from any website to another – information that you reached these services from our Store.
  • Details about how these social media services process your data can be found on the pages of the providers of these services:
  • In the Store, we use social media plugins that, for example, enable you to share a product from our Store on your profile / like our product on Facebook, or save images from our Website to your Pinterest account. Using such plugins involves the transfer of information from cookies to the owners of these social media platforms:
    • The service provider receives information that your browser has viewed our Website, even if you are not logged into that particular social media platform, or even if you do not have an account on it.
    • If you were logged into one of these social media services before visiting our Store, its owner can directly link your visit to our Website with your profile on that service.
  • If you do not want social media platforms to associate the data collected during your visit to our Store with your profile on their service, log out of these platforms before visiting our Website. You can also completely prevent social media plugins from loading on our Website by selecting the appropriate settings in the cookie consent management panel.
  1. Videos
  • Some videos on our Website are embedded using plugins from YouTube [owned by Google] / Instagram [owned by Meta Platforms] / TikTok. When you play such a video on our Website, Google / Instagram / TikTok receives information about it from your browser, even if you do not have a Google/YouTube profile / an Instagram profile / a TikTok profile, or if you are not currently logged in. If you were previously logged into one of these services, that provider will be able to directly link the playback of the video to your profile.
  • If you want to prevent Google / Instagram / TikTok from collecting information about your activity on our Website, you can:
    • Not play the video (we treat your consent to play the video as consent for other videos on our Website as well – until you revoke it by changing your cookie choices),
    • Not consent to cookies from this service on our Website,
    • Or you can log out of that service.
  • More information about how YouTube / Instagram / TikTok processes data can be found here / here / here.

#Legal issues related to cookies

The legal basis for our use of essential cookies (as described above in the section "What cookies do we use?") is our legitimate interest, i.e., the right to operate a Website that supports our business and the need to maintain its security.
The legal basis for our use of other cookies is your consent.

In connection with our processing of your personal data using cookies, you have the rights we describe below.
Our use of cookies, especially for advertising purposes, may involve so-called profiling. This means that we or marketing companies whose services we use may create a user profile based on the collected information (e.g., email address, order history, type of device, technology used, frequency of visits) and use it to predict future purchasing behaviour. This allows us to decide what content (including ads) to display on our Website and on other websites.

How long do cookies remain on a user's device?

It depends on whether they are “persistent” or “session” cookies. Session cookies, which are needed for the browser to function correctly, expire when the user session ends—meaning each time you close our Website. Persistent cookies, which make it easier to use the site (e.g., remembering your chosen resolution, content layout, user preferences, recently viewed products), are stored in the browser for longer and will remain there until their expiration date unless you delete them sooner through your browser’s settings menu.
Cookies from third parties (i.e., analytical, advertising, and social media cookies) are subject to their own privacy policies, for which we provide links in this policy.

  • Delete your data if it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was processed or if we have no other legal basis to process it;
  • Withdraw consent for the processing of your personal data, if you have given such consent;
  • Object to the processing of your data if we process it on the basis of legitimate interests;
  • Restrict the processing of your data;
  • Lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if you believe that your data is being processed unlawfully by us.

# Additional Information for Newsletter Subscribers

If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we will send you marketing information about our products and/or services, such as updates about new products, promotions, or special offers.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking the link included in every newsletter or by simply writing to us.
Modern email marketing systems allow us to analyse subscriber activity, such as whether you opened a message. We analyse this information to better tailor newsletter content and notifications to your interests and to send you personalized messages (profiling). You can object to this type of data processing at any time. If a subscriber remains inactive for 3 years, we may stop sending them the newsletter. In such a case, we will remove you from our subscriber list (with prior notification).
We do not use your data for making decisions based on automated processing that could affect your legal situation or have other similarly significant consequences for you.
Further legal information about how we send newsletters can be found in the Newsletter Terms (part of our Store Terms and Conditions).

ANNEX 1 TO THE PRIVACY POLICY OF THE
Sounds Wood STORE

LIST OF ADVERTISING AND ANALYTICAL TOOLS USING COOKIES

  1. ANALYTICAL COOKIES
  2. We use Google Analytics
  • Google Analytics collects information about users such as: how many times a user visits the site; which subpages they visit; the date of their first and last visit; duration of the visit; the website from which the user accessed the site (referral source); the browser they use; the clicked link; the location in the world from which they access the site; an anonymized (shortened) IP address; and more.
  • Google assigns a unique identifier (Google ID) to each user and stores the data collected from cookies on its servers. As the Website owner, we receive from Google only reports (statistics) about traffic on our Website. These reports include only those users who have consented on our Website to being tracked by Google Analytics.
  • More detailed information about how Google Analytics works can be found here and here.
  • You can also permanently prevent Google Analytics from collecting data from your browser by installing a special plugin available here.
  1. Cookies from our Store’s software provider
  • The software provider for our Store – the owner of the shoper.pl platform – places cookies on our Website to collect aggregate information about how customers use online stores (opened subpages and time spent on them, viewed products, clicks on the Store’s page, analytics data about purchases, e.g., conversion rates).
  • These data are used to create aggregate reports for e-store owners, containing general (non-personal) information, such as which products interest customers of a given store and which times of the year see increased traffic or sales. This helps sellers (including us) improve their stores and optimize sales processes.
  • You can read the full information about this in the Shoper Cookies Policy for store visitors.
  1. ADVERTISING COOKIES
  2. We use Google Ads and other Google advertising tools
  • Google collects data from cookies placed on your device, gathered from all sites where you allowed the use of advertising cookies by Google (including our Website), as well as from ads you clicked. Google uses this information to display ads on other sites you visit. Google cookies typically expire after 3 months.
  • As advertisers using Google services, we do not have access to data from cookies stored on your device. However, we can request ads to be shown to audience segments with selected characteristics, e.g., everyone who visited our website (or a specific subpage) within the last 7 days. We only receive aggregate data – we do not target ads to individual users.
  • We may also use (within the Google Marketing Platform) tools to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns (e.g., how many people clicked on a particular ad within a given time).
  • You can learn more about how Google uses cookies to display ads and how you can manage your ad settings here and here.
  1. Meta Conversion Pixel (Facebook and Instagram)
  • We use the so-called “conversion pixel” (remarketing pixel) from Meta to manage ads on Facebook and Instagram.
  • If you consent to the use of this cookie on our Website, this tool allows Meta Platforms to know that you visited our Website. This information is linked to your profile on that service if you have one. If you do not have an account, the information is linked to a “Facebook ID” created for you.
  • This allows us to target ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have already visited our Website or specific subpages (remarketing). Meta Platforms only provide us with statistical data about the effectiveness of our ads (e.g., how many people saw them, how many clicked), without identifying specific users.
  • If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, we encourage you to read more about data protection on these services here and here.
  • You can read more about the Meta remarketing pixel here.
  1. E-mail marketing
  • For our newsletter, we use a tool provided by an external company.
  • The email marketing system places cookies on our Website to display subscription forms and to measure the effectiveness of these forms (conversion rate).
